Expected outcomes

The expected outcomes of the project are:

  • Creation of employment;
  • Increase in Government revenue;
  • Increased investment in infrastructure and skills development;
  • Increased economic development;
  • Poverty reduction

As part of the continuing effort to fulfill its pledge of developing the BPO industry in Uganda, the NRM Government provided funding during FY 2010/11 towards the following:

  • BPO Skills Development
  • Setting up a model BPO Centre in Kampala
  • Developing BPO Governance Frameworks, including the review and update of the BPO Strategy and Model for Uganda, and the development of BPO Standards and Accreditation Guidelines
  • Branding and Marketing of the BPO Industry
  • Sensitization and Awareness on BPO
